Stockholm Moving To Bio-Heat

Fortum Värme has been granted an environmental permit for a new biofuel-fired combined heat and power plant to be built in Värtan, Stockholm.
According to the plan, the new plant will provide 25% of Stockholm’s heat demand and 10% of the city’s electricity demand, while reducing global CO2 emissions by 800,000 tons per year.
