European Biodiesel Board Predicts 55% Increase in Biodiesel Capacity

The European Union’s installed biodiesel production capacity is estimated to increase by 55% this year to reach 16 million tons, the European Biodiesel Board (EBB) said in a statement on Wednesday.
EBB also projected that 3 million tons of this capacity would be idle in 2008 due to a lagging European market.
