Argentine Biodiesel Exports Growing

Argentina's biodiesel exports grew to 176,000 mt in the first four months of 2008, up 7.7% compared to the whole of 2007, according to Investigaciones Economicas Sectoriales (IES).
Almost 98% of the volume exported went to the US and the Netherlands. Soy oil output from January to April 2008 was down 4.9% compared to the same period in 2007.
IES projects that Argentina will achieve a 6% share of the global biodiesel market in 2008.
