05.27.08

The Brazilian government plans to diversify the country's biodiesel production and encourage the planting of canola by financially helping producers, Biodiesel Brasil reports.

The biodiesel production of Mato Grosso state jumped to 10.6 million gallons in the first quarter of 2008, compared with the 3.2 million gallons produced in all of 2007 due to the growing number of biodiesel plants.
