Printing Error Delays US Farm Bill
05.22.08
The $290 billion US Farm Bill recently vetoed by President Bush may have to be passed all over again by the US House and Senate due to a printing error, OPIS reports.
A 34-page section of the legislation was omitted from the version of the bill sent to the White House, resulting in President Bush vetoing a different bill from the one which Congress had passed. Some are concerned this error might make the eventual Farm Bill unconstitutional, if the White House veto is overridden by US Congress as expected.
