Brazil Renewable Energy to Build Ethanol Pipeline

Brazil Renewable Energy Co. (Brenco) plans to invest $1 billion to build a 683 mile, 1.5 million gallon per year ethanol pipeline extending from Mato Grosso to Sao Paulo. In addition to the Port of Santos in Sao Paulo, the pipeline will serve five other proposed terminals.
Brenco has also begun construction on a sugar and ethanol mill in Alto Taquari, which will process 3 million tons of sugarcane and produce 73 million gallons of ethanol by 2009.
