IEF Says Petroleum Is "Plentiful"

The International Energy Forum meeting in Rome said in a closing statement that oil and gas resources remain “plentiful” and that fossil fuels would continue to meet most of the world's energy needs for decades to come.
IEF also said that while the development of renewable energies and biofuels are a welcome step toward reducing carbon emissions, there should be a “realistic assessment” of their future potential to meet increasing energy demand and reduce pollution.
