High Plains Bioenergy Plant Online

04.18.08

Seaboard Foods, a US pork producing company, has announced the official start up of its subsidiary biodiesel plant, High Plains Bioenergy, which is co-located with Seaboard’s pork processing facility in order to more easily use pork fat.

The first product shipment was delivered during the second week of April, according to a company spokesman. Bio-diesel produced at the 30 MMgy multi-feedstock facility meets ASTM D6751 specifications though they are not currently BQ-9000 certified. There are plans to get the certification as soon as possible.
