Farmers Strike Clogs Argentine Ports

The farmers’ strike continues in Argentina, the world’s third largest soy bean exporter.
US brokerage FC Stone said that several suppliers of Argentina soybeans and soy oil have declared force majeure on cargoes to China, and traders say about 2.2 million mt of product is being held up in ports.
There are reports that some exporters have defaulted on shipments and several ships which had been on route for Argentina have been diverted to other destinations.
