German Biodiesel Company Gmgh Kyritz Cuts Production
03.27.08
German biodiesel producer Biodiesel GmbH Kyritz has cut production at its 85,000 ton plant in Kyritz due to falling sales and the high cost of raw materials.
"The German industry is being squeezed from all sides at the moment," CEO, Helmut Hams-Ensink said. Germany’s biofuel industry association estimates that the country’s biodiesel industry is only producing at 10% capacity.
Adding to high feedstock costs, biodiesel taxes were also raised this year.
