Iowa Biofuel Industry Leads Nation

Iowa's ethanol and biodiesel industries added $12.7 billion last year into the state's economy, according to a study prepared for the Iowa Renewable Fuels Association.
The study claims that Iowa's biofuels industry, the largest in the nation, generated $2.9 billion in income for Iowa households, created more than 96,000 jobs in the Iowa economy, and contributed $790 million in state tax revenues.
