World Energy and Innospec Partner On Biodiesel Fuel Stability

01.08.08

World Energy today announced a three-year agreement with Innospec Fuel Specialties to use Innospec’s new BIOSTABLE™ line of products to enhance the stability of World Energy’s global biodiesel products.

Innospec’s BIOSTABLE™ additives will ensure that World Energy’s biodiesel products meet several stability performance criteria, including inhibition of peroxide formation and protection against metal-catalyzed oxidation. The additives will also minimize effects of gum formation from peroxide decomposition and provide an excellent defense against acid-induced bio-fuel degradation.

“This is more than a supply agreement between our two companies,” said Gene Gebolys, President and CEO of World Energy. “By partnering with a technology innovator such as Innospec, we are able to continually advance the quality of our products while expanding their application throughout our global market.”

“We are very pleased to enter into this partnership with World Energy,” said Patrick Williams, President of Innospec Fuel Specialties. “We can make a significant contribution to the growth of biodiesel by developing performance fuel additives such as cold flow improvers and pour point depressants to broaden its international appeal.” Innospec Fuel Specialties is a division of Innospec Inc.
