ALBERTA EXPANDS BIOENERGY PROGRAM

Alberta, Canada has expanded and extended an incentive program for bioenergy producers.

Funding under the Bioenergy Producer Credit Program is extended for five years until 2016 and provides incentives to develop biofuels.

A Renewable Fuels Standard is to be implemented in April 2011.
