Bill Introduced to Expand Eligibility of Ethanol Tax Credit
11.04.09
US Rep. Chris Van Hollen introduced legislation Monday expanding feedstock eligibility for the $1.01/gal cellulosic ethanol tax credit, and linking the tax credit to the BTU content of the fuel being produced, OPIS reports.
HR 3985 would remove the term "cellulosic biofuel" from the definition of the tax credit, and replace it with "second generation biofuel."
