Rotterdam Port Undergoing Expansion During Trade Lull

A current slowdown of global trade is allowing the port of Rotterdam time to expand capacity as several new LNG and oil terminals are planned to be operational by 2011.
The port is also expected to increase its biofuels capacity as biodiesel flows through Rotterdam grew 80% in 2008 and are expected to be a strong growth area in coming years, Reuters reports.
