Analysts See Rise In European Biodiesel Output
11.27.07
European biodiesel output will increase from 7.15 mt in 2007 to 11.7 mt in 2008/09 and to 13.4 mt by 2010/2011, according to French analyst, Strategie Grains.
Germany’s output is expected to drop slightly to 2 mt (from 2.3 mt this year) and will increase to 2.3 mt by 2010/2011. France’s production of biodiesel will increase from 1.4 mt in 2007 to 2.1 mt in 2008/09 and 2.8 mt in 2010/2011.
Increasing biodiesel output will be linked to a nearly 50% jump in rapeseed production in coming years.
