President Bush Calls for Action on US Energy Bill
11.15.07
President George Bush called for action on US energy legislation on a visit to Indiana this week, pressing the US Congress to act on an energy bill that expands use of ethanol and biodiesel, promotes energy efficiency, and invests in technologies such as clean coal.
The US Deputy Secretary of Energy said Congress should take action on those measures on which it can agree and pass them now. Specifically, he called on lawmakers to pass the US President's fuel economy standard, biofuel mandates, and other energy efficiency provisions.
